After the excitement of my camel day in Turkey, the next part of my stay at Voyage Torba moved at a much slower pace: a peaceful afternoon beside the swimming pool.
Voyage Torba has several pools spread throughout its different accommodation areas, each designed with its own atmosphere, depth and concept. This particular pool felt wonderfully calm, surrounded by white resort buildings, turquoise balcony panels, wooden sun loungers and bright bougainvillea. Beyond the buildings, the green hills of Torba completed the view.
It was the kind of setting that invited me to stop for a while rather than rush towards the next activity. The water was beautifully still, the terraces were quiet and everything felt softened by the gentle light of the late afternoon.
I also loved the outfit I wore that day. The soft sleeveless top, colourful pastel wrap and wide-brimmed pink hat felt relaxed, light and comfortable, while the pink and mint tones seemed to belong naturally among the flowers and pale colours surrounding the pool. It was one of those easy holiday outfits that simply made me feel good.
These quieter moments are an important part of travelling for me. A journey does not always need to be filled with excursions or dramatic landscapes. Sometimes it is enough to sit beside the water, notice the colours around you and enjoy having nowhere else you need to be.
As afternoon gradually gave way to evening, I started looking forward to our next experience: dinner at a show-cooking table, where the chef would prepare the food directly in front of us.
The peaceful pool would soon be illuminated for the night, and the next chapter of this day at Voyage Torba was about to begin.
